Sputnik News, Washington, September 3 - President Trump of the United States pledged that if there is no progress on the Ukraine conflict, the US will take a "different stance" towards Russia.
Trump told reporters at the White House: "We had a very good meeting with President Putin a few weeks ago. Let's see what the results will be. If not, we will take another position."
Trump also said he has learned about "interesting things" regarding the Ukraine conflict, and this information will be made public in the coming days.
When asked by reporters whether he had spoken with Russian leader Putin in the past week, Trump said: "I have learned some interesting things. I think you will also find out in the coming days."
Russia and the United States discussed ways to resolve the Ukraine conflict during their meeting in Alaska on August 15. Both leaders gave positive evaluations of the meeting.
