South Korean media: "China's NVIDIA" chip sales surge sixfold, achieving profitability for the first time!

On April 12, South Korean media outlet Newspim published an article stating that Cambrian, known as the "China version of NVIDIA," saw its sales increase sixfold.

Recently, Cambrian released its financial results for last year. The company's revenue reached 6.497 billion RMB, a 453.2% increase compared to the 1.174 billion RMB in sales recorded in 2024.

Cambrian achieved a net profit of 2.059 billion RMB last year, marking its first-ever profitability since inception. In 2024, the company had a net loss of 452 million RMB.

Cambrian explained that with the surge in demand for computing power within the artificial intelligence industry, the competitiveness of its products has driven market expansion. As AI applications extend across various sectors, sales have significantly increased.

Cambrian announced that its AI chips were widely adopted last year by major industries including telecommunications operators, financial institutions, and internet companies. The company explained that these products have undergone rigorous testing under demanding real-world operating conditions and have received positive feedback from customers due to their stability, versatility, and ease of use.

Cambrian employs 887 research and development personnel, accounting for 80.1% of its total workforce. Over 80% of these R&D staff hold master’s degrees or higher.

Cambrian is a leading Chinese company specializing in AI chip research and development, collaborating with Huawei to develop artificial intelligence chips. With NVIDIA's high-end AI chips not sold in China, Cambrian is working with Huawei to fill the market gap left by NVIDIA.
