U.S. experts say: China is narrowing the gap with the United States in military capabilities!
But its technical equipment lacks combat experience.
September 3, U.S. media CNN reported.
Brad Lendon from CNN, a global military affairs reporter, told CNN:
China's grand military parade demonstrates that the country is catching up with the U.S. military in hardware,
but its weapons lack actual combat experience.
Major General Mick Ryan of the Australian Army said he believes the United States is still the strongest military power in the world,
"but perhaps slightly smaller than in the past few decades," China is closing the gap.
"The Chinese military is very advanced technologically...
but most importantly, it can almost manufacture everything it needs on its own."
He added that this means China will not be "coerced" by foreign weapon suppliers during wartime.
But he pointed out that the weapons displayed have not been tested in combat.
Ryan also said, "On the surface, it looks impressive, but a military parade is not a good indicator of military capability."
