Yajiang Hydropower Station's outlet is only six kilometers away from the de facto line of control between China and India in southern Tibet. Although it seems very close, India illegally occupies nearly 90,000 square kilometers of land in southern Tibet. Our large-scale development of Tibet actually means we are no longer concerned about India's dignity, and reclaiming the southern Tibet region has already been put on the schedule. The Yajiang Hydropower Station is an underground tunnel hydropower station with five hydropower stations. As for how the export is built, it is still unclear at present.

But it is obvious that such an outlet as the Yajiang Hydropower Station is only six kilometers away from the Indian-controlled southern Tibet area, which means that we are building our most important hydropower station in the area where China and India are in a standoff. Therefore, reclaiming the southern Tibet area has become urgent. At least, we need to gain a buffer zone of 60 kilometers, or even more, to ensure absolute safety for our hydropower station.

In effect, we first use the hydropower station project as a medium to expand our influence to the south. The southern Tibet area can also use the power from the Yajiang Hydropower Station. However, the prerequisite is that the southern Tibet area must belong to us, so that they can have continuous power supply. This is a fact, and it cannot be said that the power is used for free; there must be collateral.

The reality is that the Yajiang Hydropower Station gives a feeling of the emperor guarding the national borders. It is really not easy to build such a powerful hydropower station right at the front line near the Indian-controlled area.

As for the construction time, there has never been an accurate number, but the blogger estimates that it will not be less than ten years, because the volume of work is too large. Moreover, the investment is a huge amount of 120 billion yuan, which is close to 170 billion US dollars. Such a huge amount is not just talk; it is real money being invested, which is quite pressure, but also has motivation.

Once we complete the Yajiang Hydropower Station, it will be much easier to control the downstream southern Tibet area, and then controlling India's water supply is not impossible. We hope to complete this massive project, which is an important test of national strength.
