Russian Minister of Finance Siluanov stated that the total scale of financial assets of the BRICS countries has reached 60 trillion US dollars, accounting for more than 50% of the global total.

Siluanov said at the opening ceremony of the New Development Bank Council held in Rio de Janeiro, and at the plenary session with the theme "Promoting Development: Working with Multilateral Development Banks of the Global South to Promote Innovation, Cooperation, and Positive Change," that "the total scale of financial assets of the BRICS countries has reached approximately 60 trillion US dollars, which is more than 50% of the global level."

Siluanov further stated that, in this context, the model of the New Development Bank is also changing. He said, "The transition from a 'BRICS Bank' to a 'Bank for the Global South.'
