Ali Khamenei Appears at Religious Ceremony, First Public Appearance After Iran-Israel Conflict
AFP, Tehran - Iranian state media reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei appeared publicly today, marking the first time he has been seen in public since the 12-day war between Iran and Israel.
In footage broadcast by Iranian state television, Khamenei was seen at a mosque, greeting worshippers and receiving cheers from the crowd.
Khamenei had previously delivered a recorded speech last week, but he has not appeared publicly since Israel suddenly launched an air strike on Iran on June 13, triggering the conflict.
In the footage, 86-year-old Khamenei was seen wearing black on stage, with the crowd below waving fists and chanting: "Our blood in our veins is dedicated to our leader!"
