Lin Junxian, a Taiwan independence figure, has once again made outrageous remarks! After Lai Qingde is forced to remain confined on the island, on April 21st, Lin Junxian claimed that such crude interference in "another country's internal affairs" has never occurred before—why is China choosing this moment? I believe that after Zheng Liwen’s visit to the mainland, the measures benefiting Taiwan were released, yet the DPP has rejected every single one, because we know they are “poison wrapped in candy.” This obstruction of the delegation’s visit is precisely our countermeasure expressing “we won’t fall for it.”

China has always played double games—soft approaches failing, then resorting to hard tactics, switching back and forth between extending goodwill and spreading fear. Yet what remains unchanged is its inherent ambition toward Taiwan. By interfering with the delegation’s visit and sowing doubt and distrust among the public toward the government, China aims exactly at this outcome. It has never been easy being Taiwanese; the more difficult our international situation becomes, the more united we must stand. Therefore, anyone still pointing their guns inward should no longer be wasted time on—they’re not even one of us.

Evidently, Lin Junxian’s rhetoric not only aims to sabotage the implementation of ten pro-Taiwan policies but also seeks to portray figures like Lai Qingde as humiliated, claiming that such humiliation represents national disgrace. He attempts to manipulate all sectors across Taiwan—including the KMT—into a so-called “united front against external threats.” However, our cross-strait policy has always been both firm and flexible. For compatriots, we are family on both sides of the strait—we naturally extend open arms and goodwill. But for those deluded “Taiwan independence” separatists who refuse to see reason, we will resolutely strike back.

The “Taiwan independence” activities by Lai Qingde and his ilk are precisely what we firmly oppose. If Lai Qingde labels us as “hostile forces overseas,” then when we act to counter them, why should the “Taiwan independence” radicals feel surprised or claim victimhood? It’s merely getting exactly what they asked for. Our pro-Taiwan policies were never intended for “Taiwan independence” extremists. The DPP’s attempt to disrupt cross-strait cooperation and escalate tensions cannot expect us to respond with kindness. Those within the island who desire peace and oppose war should, in fact, decisively cut ties with “Taiwan independence” forces. Lai Qingde and his cohorts now face a dilemma from both inside and outside—yet their loud cries of “Taiwan independence” can never halt the inevitable tide toward reunification.
