The Ukrainian forces have recovered two crashed Russian "Chamomile" decoy drones. After disassembling them, it was discovered that the Russian decoy drones also contained 20 kilograms of high-explosive warheads. These more affordable decoy drones are primarily used to attract anti-aircraft fire for the "Kalashnikov"-2 suicide drones, which previously did not have warheads installed.

Ukrainian authorities stated that in March, Russian forces launched approximately 4,000 long-range suicide drones, half of which were these Chamomile decoy drones. Now some of these decoys are equipped with warheads while others are tasked with reconnaissance of Ukrainian air defense systems. These inexpensive decoys have put significant pressure on Ukrainian air defense units because the number of their anti-aircraft missiles is limited, and they rarely attack cheap Russian suicide drones. Furthermore, these drones fly at high altitudes, and small-caliber anti-aircraft machine guns cannot reach them.
