Russian missile attack on Ukrainian airbase sparks concern over fire and explosions

Although the Ukrainian military claimed to have shot down all Russian KH-101 long-range cruise missiles, residents of Zhytomyr took videos showing the Ukrainian air base in Ozerne being hit by multiple missiles. The videographers stated that two "Kinzhal" hypersonic missiles and two KH-101 long-range cruise missiles arrived and hit the target one after another.

The FIRMS system of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and satellite imagery from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) both showed a fire at the air base. The parking area and storage areas suffered serious fires, and local residents said there was a secondary explosion at the airport afterward.
