According to Tasnim News Agency on March 18, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that it would strike oil facilities in three Middle Eastern countries within "a few hours." Earlier that day, Israel had attacked Iran's natural gas facilities.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps listed multiple oil facilities located in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, including the Samir Refinery and Jubail Petrochemical Complex in Saudi Arabia, the Al-Hosn Gas Field in the UAE, and the Mesaieed Petrochemical Complex, Mesaieed Holding Company, and Ras Laffan Refinery (Phase I and Phase II) in Qatar.

Among them, the Samir Refinery is a joint venture co-owned by Saudi Aramco and ExxonMobil's subsidiary Mobil Rabigh Refining Company, with a current crude oil processing capacity of about 400,000 barrels per day.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the facilities it listed have become "direct and legitimate targets" and "will be attacked within the next few hours," urging all residents and staff near the relevant facilities to evacuate immediately.

"Previously, we have repeatedly issued clear warnings to your rulers: do not take this dangerous path, do not gamble with the fate of your own people," the statement said.

On the same day, a spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces' Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that Iran would retaliate severely against attacks on its energy infrastructure.

The spokesperson stated that, as Iran has previously warned, once Iran's energy infrastructure is attacked, Iran will retaliate severely at the first opportunity, and striking the other party's energy facilities would be a legitimate action.

Earlier that day, the Israeli Defense Forces attacked Iran's "largest natural gas facility" located in Busher, southern Iran. This facility processes 40% of Iran's natural gas. Media outlets reported that the attack was carried out in coordination between Israel and the United States.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Israel's move was a "dangerous and irresponsible act," calling on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid targeting critical infrastructure.
