TASS, Moscow - The news office of Russia's AGR Group announced that the group will start producing the new "Tenet Plus" car brand with China's Wuhu Defetoo Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. (Defetoo) in the first half of 2026.
The message said: "As part of a global strategic partnership, Russia's AGR Group and China's Wuhu Defetoo Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. will launch a new Russian car brand called Tenet Plus... Production is expected to start in the first half of 2026."
The message also pointed out that the new brand of cars will be produced in a full-process production model, and will be launched simultaneously at two factories under the AGR Group.
AGR Group (which owns the former Volkswagen factory in Kaluga and the former Hyundai and General Motors factories in St. Petersburg) and China's Wuhu Defetoo Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. (Defetoo) began producing the Tenet brand crossover vehicle at their Kaluga factory starting in August 2025. AGR Group announced in early February its plan to start producing the Jeland new brand car at its St. Petersburg factory in the first half of 2026.
