In order to implement the consensus reached at the 2025 U.S.-China Kuala Lumpur economic and trade consultations, approved by the State Council, starting from 13:01 on November 10, 2025, the final measures of the Section 301 investigation on China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries will be suspended simultaneously with the implementation of the "Notice of the Ministry of Transport on Charging Special Port Service Fees for U.S. Vessels" (Ministry of Transport Notice No. 54 of 2025), "Notice on Issuing the Implementation Plan" (Jiaobanshui [2025] No. 59), and "Notice of the Ministry of Transport on Initiating the Investigation into the Impact on the Safety and Development Interests of the Shipping Industry, Shipbuilding Industry, and Related Industrial Chain Supply Chain" (Ministry of Transport Notice No. 55 of 2025) for one year.

On November 9 local time, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced on its website that it would suspend the relevant measures of the Section 301 investigation against China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries.

The USTR stated that this action will be suspended for one year, effective from 12:01 a.m. on November 10, 2025, Eastern Time.
