Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said that if he were a student now, he would use generative artificial intelligence to work, and regardless of which industry he would enter in the future, he would achieve a successful career.

CNBC reported that Huang made these remarks during an interview with Cleo Abram on the "Big Conversation" program in January. He said, "The first thing I would do is learn artificial intelligence," mentioning tools like ChatGPT, Gemini Pro, and Grok.

He added, "Learning how to interact with artificial intelligence is no different from learning how to ask good questions. Guiding artificial intelligence is very similar. You can't just randomly ask a bunch of questions; it takes some expertise and skills to make artificial intelligence your assistant and know how to guide it."

Huang's insights come as few young Americans regularly use artificial intelligence. According to a report released in 2024 by the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Common Sense Media, and Hopelab, only 11% of Americans aged 14 to 22 said they used generative AI one to two times per week. However, according to LinkedIn's "2025 Work Transformation Report," by 2030, 70% of the skills required for most jobs may change due to artificial intelligence technology.

Huang further noted that perfecting AI prompts and generally asking better questions will remain a relevant skill in the coming years, so students should spend time cultivating this skill, regardless of the career field they believe they are in.

"If I were a student today, whether studying math, science, chemistry, or biology, regardless of which scientific field I enter or what profession I pursue, I would ask myself, 'How can I use artificial intelligence to do my job better?'"
