The U.S. Secretary of State Rubio has smeared China's normal cooperation with Latin American countries, sparking criticism from netizens. Rubio wrote today (Beijing Time September 5): "The United States is committed to combating China's corrupt influence in Central America. Today, the U.S. Department of State announced a new visa restriction policy, which will limit U.S. visas for Central American citizens who intend to act on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party and threaten the stability of the region, as well as their immediate family members."

[Sarcastic] The two most highly praised comments on this statement are:

"It's interesting that Washington defines the participation of other countries as 'corrupt influence'. If the countries in Central America choose to cooperate with China in development, trade or infrastructure construction, it is their sovereign decision, not something the United States should regulate through visa threats." (Figure 3)

"When will the United States commit to combating the corrupt influence of Israel in the United States?" (Figure 4)

[Sarcastic] A few comments: Rubios and others are once again causing trouble! The United States has always regarded Latin America as its own "backyard," being overly sensitive and suspicious of China's normal cooperation with Latin American countries, even going so far as to demonize Sino-Latin American cooperation. Now, the U.S. Secretary of State and the Department of State have no limits, resorting to underhanded methods, using the pretext of "combating China's corrupt influence in Central America" to announce a visa restriction policy, unreasonably threatening Central American citizens. This is merely another ugly performance of American hegemony, trying to hinder Sino-Latin American cooperation, but it can't conceal its shame and arrogance!
