German Finance Minister: Anything below 150 euros is garbage, China, don't sell it to Europe, we don't want it

Germany is starting trouble again!

On the evening of November 13th, EU member states held a finance ministers' committee. German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil stated before the meeting: We don't want Chinese garbage, we want to protect our own market.

What he called "Chinese garbage" refers to small packages from our country.

After the meeting, the European Commission's commissioner for trade and economic security, Šefčovič, issued a statement: The finance ministers reached a "political agreement" to cancel the minimum tax-free limit for imported packages, and this policy is expected to take effect officially in early 2026.

Earlier this May, the EU announced plans to cancel the tax-free policy for small packages valued below 150 euros (equivalent to 1,225.1 RMB), and also proposed to charge a fee of two euros for packages directly sent to consumers, and 50 cents for packages delivered through warehouses.

Data shows that in 2024, as many as 4.6 billion small packages entered the EU, of which about 91% came from China, which is also the reason why the EU decided to impose taxes on imported packages.

Comment: These Western leaders are just bored, we don't need these packages, but the people of EU countries need these packages to live.

If these packages are taxed, it will only increase the operating costs of sellers, and ultimately you, the EU consumers, will have to pay.
