On Monday morning, May 12th local time, after dozens of hours of maritime navigation, the Chinese participating troops of the China-Cambodia "Golden Dragon-2025" joint exercise arrived at Cambodia's cloud-shelter naval base aboard the PLA Navy's Type 071 amphibious transport dock Changbaishan. The Cambodian side held a welcome ceremony for the Chinese participating troops on the wharf.
It is reported that a total of 2,176 soldiers from the land, sea, and air forces of both Cambodia and China will participate in this exercise, with 1,331 from the Cambodian side and 845 from the Chinese side. The Chinese side will send advanced equipment such as three warships, Zhi-20 helicopters, drones, etc., to participate in the exercise.
In early April, Cambodia held the completion ceremony for new facilities at the cloud-shelter naval base. These facilities were built with Chinese assistance.
