The report said that when the power outage occurred, the electricity in many residential and commercial facilities was cut off, and street lights immediately went out. A resident was receiving medical treatment at a clinic at the time, and the room suddenly became completely dark. The medical staff on site responded urgently, and even doctors had to use flashlights for makeshift lighting to maintain examination and medication operations.

Taipower stated that this power outage was caused by a feeder circuit breaker tripping. After the incident, Taipower immediately dispatched personnel to the scene, and by 20:57, power was restored to 1,918 households. Currently, 7,757 households are still under active repair.
