On June 5th, the Photonic Chip Research Center (CHIPX) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China announced the launch of China's first 6-inch photonic chip pilot production line based on thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) material. Photonic chips transmit information using light instead of electrical signals, featuring high speed and low power consumption.
