[Trump: If Fox News Doesn't Cover His Rallies Before the Midterm Elections, the Network’s Viewership Will Drop]
October 4, 2026, Washington time — President Donald Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social:
Other American media are covering my rallies before the midterm elections with extremely positive, almost frenzied reporting. The American public wants to see our events and coverage on Fox News; otherwise, they will soon stop watching, just as I am doing now.
If the channel continues to prioritize coverage of opposition activities over Republican ones, its viewership will plummet to the level of “phony CNN and MSNOW.” Remember, Fox News tried this tactic before—nearly drove itself into bankruptcy—and it always happens right before major elections. This scenario could unfold again.
