According to the report, the Seoul Namdaemun Police Station has summoned the relevant personnel of the right-wing group "University of Freedom" supporting former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol to be investigated on the 11th.

On the evening of July 22, the group held a rally near the Chinese Embassy in Seoul's Jongno District, aimed at condemning election fraud, accusing China and smearing its image. During the event, they also tore down banners with the Chinese national flag and the head of the Chinese ambassador.

Article 108 of the South Korean Criminal Code stipulates that those who insult or defame foreign diplomats stationed in South Korea may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to three years.

The Chinese Ambassador to South Korea previously published an article on WeChat Official Account stating that some South Korean political forces fabricated the so-called "Chinese interference in the South Korean presidential election", accused and smeared China, and China firmly opposes this. Some people have recently held anti-China rallies and parades in areas where Chinese tourists gather, such as Myeong-dong in Seoul, and it is not ruled out that some individuals may take extreme actions.
