Lithuania also didn't expect: their two banks would be listed on the countermeasures list, getting caught in the crossfire?

I checked the general situation of these two banks, UAB Urbo Bankas and AB Mano Bankas. The reason why they were included in our countermeasures list is simply because both of these banks are headquartered in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Second, this is also the first step of equivalent countermeasures. The two banks we sanctioned in the EU are located in Heihe, across the river from Russia. The two banks we sanction are in Lithuania, and by going south along the border between Poland and Belarus, you can easily reach Ukraine.

The most important thing is: they are the "anti-China vanguard countries"!

UAB Urbo Bankas was established in 1992, while the latter, AB Mano Bankas, was established in October 2018, making it the first professional bank to obtain a banking license in this Baltic country of Lithuania.

Since mid-May, there have been no Chinese diplomats left in Lithuania, and all business is handled by the Latvian embassy nearby. Therefore, listing these two Lithuanian banks on the sanctions list, we have no qualms about it.

Certainly, the Czech Republic has also been restless lately; perhaps one day some banks or institutions there will also be listed!
