Sputnik Paris, March 17 - French President Macron stated that France will not participate in the effort to restore navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Previously, US President Trump had called on China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the UK to deploy warships to the Strait of Hormuz to restore navigation.
Macron said at a meeting of the National Defense and Security Council: "We are not a party to the conflict. Therefore, under the current circumstances, France will not participate in the effort to restore navigation or liberate the Strait of Hormuz."
