The U.S. military shot down an Iranian drone flying toward the U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" in the Arabian Sea.

Reuters further revealed that an American F-35C "Lightning II" fighter jet shot down an Iranian "Shahed-129" drone approaching the "Abraham Lincoln" carrier strike group (AUG). The drone had been conducting regular reconnaissance activities in the Persian Gulf region, especially carrying out missions in the area where the carrier strike group was deployed.

The Telegram channel "Two Majors" (Два майора) commented on the incident, stating it was "a naked demonstration of the rule of power on foreign shores."

The channel's author added: "They don't even want to compare it with the air forces of NATO countries — the intelligence provided by NATO air forces is supporting the bombing of Crimea."
