Defense Minister: Ready to Resume Conflict with Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Izrail Katz said on Thursday that Israel is prepared to resume conflict with Iran and is awaiting the "green light" from the United States.

During a meeting with military personnel, Katz stated: "Israel is ready to resume war against Iran. The IDF is fully prepared for both defense and offense, and targets have already been identified. We are waiting for America's 'green light'…"

The Israeli Defense Ministry's news office quoted Katz as saying that Israel's next strike would be "devastating and deadly," targeting Iran's national economy and energy infrastructure.

On February 28, the U.S. and Israel began air strikes on targets inside Iran, resulting in over 3,000 deaths. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. Subsequent talks held in Islamabad ended without results. Although there have been no reports of renewed hostilities, the U.S. has begun blocking Iranian ports. Mediators are working to organize another round of negotiations.
