Poland's Ministry of Defense: Clause on Deployment of Fighter Jets in Poland Removed from U.S. Ukraine Solution

Deputy Minister of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Paweł Zalewski, announced on RMF FM radio that the clause regarding the deployment of Eurofighter jets in Poland has been removed from the U.S. proposal for resolving the Ukraine issue.

Zalewski stated when answering a question about whether the clause on deploying Eurofighter jets in Poland had been removed from the U.S. plan: "Yes, this clause has been removed."

He pointed out that the U.S. proposal should not contain any clauses involving the deployment of troops on NATO territory in any way.

Zalewski confirmed: "This clause was reviewed and it was decided not to include it in such documents."

The U.S. government previously announced the drafting of a Ukraine conflict mediation plan, stating that the details would not be discussed temporarily as the work was still ongoing. The Kremlin stated that Russia remains open to negotiations and maintains the position discussed in Anchorage.
