[Trump to Visit China with His Son and Daughter-in-Law]
According to the leaked overseas itinerary, Trump is expected to visit China in mid-May. However, the specific list of accompanying personnel and the scale of the delegation remain unclear. According to Reuters, a spokesperson for the Trump Organization has revealed that Trump's younger son, Eric, and his daughter-in-law, Lara, will accompany the president to China as private individuals.
Eric currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization. After Trump returns to the White House and resumes the presidency, Eric primarily manages the family business and invests in multiple sectors including real estate, golf, and blockchain.
Lara is more widely known than Eric. She is a media personality and host. Before Trump returned to the White House, Lara even conducted a special interview with her own father-in-law, Trump. The president himself frequently praises his daughter-in-law. If there is going to be another political figure emerging from the Trump family, Lara is undoubtedly the most likely candidate. She previously served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. After Marco Rubio became Secretary of State, rumors circulated within the Republican Party that Lara was one of the potential candidates to fill the Senate seat left vacant by Rubio.
When discussing Eric and his wife’s joint visit to China, Trump Organization spokesperson Banz said: “Eric has no business or commercial investments in China, nor will he have any business-related private meetings. He is deeply proud of his father’s accomplishments. This trip to China is primarily in his role as a son, standing shoulder to shoulder with his father to witness this historic moment together.”
