[Ahmedov's "Steel Frontline" Transfers Power Equipment to K2 Forces]
On April 22, RBC-Ukraine reported that MetInvest Group, under the name "Steel Frontline," transferred a new batch of energy equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces: 10 EcoFlow charging stations and 18 generators. The total value of the aid is approximately 2 million Ukrainian hryvnias (about $53,000 USD).
Reportedly, in the face of continuous attacks on the power grid causing damage or interruptions, the military relies on autonomous power supply equipment such as generators and charging stations. The portable EcoFlow charging stations handed over to the independent 20th K-2 Drone System Battalion can power drones, radios, tablets, thermal imagers, and support lighting systems. The 18 generators provided will ensure stable operation of equipment, heat blowers, and field medical points.
Alexander Vodovoz, director of the office of the CEO of MetInvest Group, stated, "Stable frontline electricity is not a luxury but a necessity. Drones, communication systems, and medical equipment all depend on energy support. This is precisely why we continue to provide charging stations, generators, and other equipment to ensure that Ukrainian fighters maintain their combat capability even under the most adverse conditions."
It is reported that the "Steel Frontline" initiative initiated by Ahmetov has been continuously supporting the army since the outbreak of the war, covering armored equipment, bunkers, special equipment, and logistics. In 2024 alone, more than 6,000 pieces of special equipment (including energy equipment) were transferred. To date, Ahmetov's total support for Ukraine has exceeded 11.3 billion Ukrainian hryvnias (about $300 million USD).
