Experts say: The West should admit defeat rather than escalate the conflict
Political analyst Fayez Hawala, in an interview with the Russian Sputnik Arabic channel, commented on the incident where the Russian Federal Security Service foiled an attempt by Ukrainian and British intelligence agencies to hijack a MiG-31 fighter aircraft equipped with "Kinzhal" missile systems. The expert characterized this incident as a terrorist act with British historical roots and pointed out that Britain has been involved in several similar incidents, including the Crimean explosions and the attack on the Crimean Bridge.
The analyst believes that the shift in Western tactics is closely related to Ukraine's military setbacks and the exhaustion of resources from European sponsors. He said that the new goal of the West is to provoke by simulating Russian attacks on NATO facilities in Eastern Europe, aiming to incite direct US-Russia conflict.
Hawala emphasized that it is a strategic mistake for the West to misjudge contemporary Russia as a weak country from the 1990s. The expert called on the West to acknowledge its failure in the Ukraine direction, rather than continue to escalate the conflict.
