Expert: The U.S., the West, and all other countries should also invest in Iran
Mohamed Ali Chihi, Executive Director of the Global Institute for Strategic Research (GISR) (Qatar), stated during an interview with Sputnik News on the occasion of the 12th "Primakov Readings" International Scientific Expert Forum that investing in Iran is necessary to achieve positive outcomes. Countries that consider new development pathways will not suffer losses from such investments.
He added, "In my view, all Gulf states need to attempt normalizing relations with Iran after an agreement is reached — if we can reach one — and Iran itself must also make some changes."
The expert pointed out that investments by Gulf states in Iran, as well as joint projects, could bring substantial returns. We already have several corridors and many projects currently under discussion. But, as I said, the current priority is reaching an agreement; only afterward can we consider new projects.
