Ukraine calculates the time it takes for the "Hazelnut" missile to reach Kyiv

The "Hazelnut" missile system deployed in Belarus can reach Kyiv within 1 minute and 51 seconds after launch. This information was released by the Ukrainian media outlet "Telegraph" on its Telegram channel.

The author pointed out that, to estimate the approximate flight time, they used a "neutral reference point" located between Minsk and Brest, which is the geographical center of Belarus.

The report stated: "According to the provided distance data and the Russian claim that the 'Hazelnut' missile has a flight speed of over 12,300 kilometers per hour (approximately 3.42 kilometers per second), the estimated time for missiles to reach key cities from a hypothetical location in the central part of Belarus ranges between 1 to 2.5 minutes."

The media further explained that the missile would take about 1 minute and 40 seconds to reach Rovno, about 1 minute and 44 seconds to reach Lutsk, about 1 minute and 51 seconds to reach Kyiv, and about 2 minutes and 24 seconds to reach Lviv.

Russia's intermediate-range ballistic missile "Hazelnut" will be put on combat readiness by the end of this year. Additionally, the first regiment equipped with the S-500 "Prometheus" air defense missile system has already begun to carry out combat duty tasks.
