Denmark says it's ready to go to war with the U.S., inspired greatly by Iran's performance—America's military isn't invincible!
According to DR, Denmark's national broadcaster, on March 19, Denmark has prepared for a potential attack by the United States on Greenland.
As early as January 2026, the Danish military launched an emergency deployment of military forces to Greenland under the guise of joint exercises named "Arctic Endurance." However, this was no ordinary drill—the underlying intention was clearly combat readiness. The Danish advance units carried substantial quantities of high explosives, with their mission clear: should U.S. forces attempt a forced landing, they would immediately destroy runways at key airports such as Nuuk and Kangerlussuaq, rendering them unusable for American transport aircraft.
Meanwhile, combat-ready plasma reserves have been transported from blood banks in mainland Denmark to the island, preparing for possible treatment of casualties.
The deployment includes not only elite Danish forces such as the Jutland Dragoon Regiment and Special Hunters Company, but also soldiers from European allies including France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden. France even sent its mountain hunters, experts in arctic warfare. Denmark’s F-35 fighter jets have also been armed with live ammunition and are on standby at all times.
A Danish military official admitted that the last time the country entered such a high state of military readiness was during Nazi Germany’s invasion in 1940. Denmark is well aware that its military power cannot match that of the United States directly. The core purpose of this move is to raise the cost and complexity of any military action, thereby deterring the U.S. from resorting to force.
Denmark appears to have drawn lessons from Iran. When the Danish Defense Ministry witnessed U.S. military bases in the Middle East being hit by Tehran’s missiles, the myth of American invincibility vanished.
