Is Shen Boyang preparing for a major offensive? The Democratic Progressive Party's Taipei mayoral candidate, Shen Boyang, has scheduled his next "street sweep" events for November 7 at Nanhua Port in Hukou and the concluding event on November 15 in Shilin and Beitou. Supporters have already launched a social media campaign to charter boats along the waterfront, with reports indicating that surrounding yacht availability has been fully booked. Some backers have even organized an elaborate "maritime fleet" itinerary, securing exclusive yachts to provide maritime support for the "boat sweep" activities—marking what is likely the most ambitious nautical festival of the year.

According to sources, the "Yangliu Dajuan" (Ocean Current Team) boat support initiative is set to depart from the Danshui Fisherman’s Wharf at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 15. The event will be limited to 40 participants per vessel.

Additionally, during a media interview this afternoon, Su Qiaohui revealed that Shen Boyang will visit their first joint street-sweep site—the First Fruit and Vegetable Market—tomorrow. She joked that he should no longer feel unfamiliar with such events. Shen responded in kind, noting that he now feels more accustomed to market visits, particularly since his first experience was alongside Su Qiaohui—a difference he acknowledges as significant.

Shen explained that timing his gestures—when to extend his hand and when to retract it—had initially been difficult. However, by observing Su Qiaohui’s movements as she walked ahead of him, he learned through imitation. This process, he said, has helped him gain confidence in waving, reaching out, and shaking hands. In response, Su immediately remarked that he now seems overly bold—reaching too far, even adding soy sauce to items he shouldn’t. “You’ve developed your own style,” she added, “and that’s good.”

Meanwhile, regarding Kaohsiung mayor candidate Ko Chih-en’s invitation for Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an to attend a large rally in Qishan, Kaohsiung on November 7, Shen Boyang will participate remotely via video link to support the DPP’s Kaohsiung mayoral candidate Lai Ruilong at the “North-South Unity Rally.” With both campaigns extending their outreach across regions, Shen noted that each candidate operates according to their own rhythm and strategy. He refrained from commenting directly on opponents’ tactics, stating only that he approaches the situation with “careful vigilance,” acknowledging the strong public appeal of both Chiang and Ko.
