"No haggling, just speed,"趁着关税窗口期, American buyers are going on a buying spree.

From May 10 to 11, high-level trade talks between China and the United States were held in Geneva, Switzerland. Both sides agreed to reduce tariffs within 90 days, lowering the tax rate by 115% (from 145% to 30%). Affected by policies and other factors, Sino-US trade exchanges have rapidly heated up. According to data released by trade tracking agency Vizion, after the mutual tariff reduction between the US and China, the number of container transportation bookings from China to the US ordered in the US surged nearly 300%.

We learned that taking advantage of this 90-day policy window, American buyers are increasing orders in large quantities, crazily "stocking up" from China, hoping to stockpile as much as possible within 90 days for the next cycle. Some American buyers have even started stocking up for the Christmas season in advance. An AliExpress merchant said that to seize the 90-day tariff window, some American old buyers don't even ask about the price, crazily placing orders for procurement, and even requiring direct air freight.

The foreign trade staff of Shenzhen Maqijia Home Co., Ltd. is fully receiving orders, provided by merchants.

Order data from AliExpress shows that clothing and accessories, jewelry, watches and accessories, beauty products, home and garden, packaging and printing, consumer electronics, sports and entertainment, baby & toys, gifts and crafts, luggage and bags, etc., rank among the top ten categories. In terms of growth momentum, auto parts and supplies grew by 62%, machinery equipment by 46%, and 3C & new energy by 42%. A practitioner revealed that compared to before the tariff reduction, the growth rate has already exceeded triple digits.

The rebound in demand in the US market due to the arrival of the shipping window period is also corroborated by logistics industry data. The latest data from Cainiao International Express shows that cross-border package volumes in countries such as South America and North America continue to grow. Compared to the previous week, the volume of packages in countries like the US, Brazil, and Mexico increased rapidly in the third week of May.

"The demand for American consumer goods has always been there, and many cross-border merchants develop products targeting the US market. Consumers also strongly rely on Chinese products and supply chains." A responsible person from a domestic smart equipment brand stated that the reduction in tariffs gives cross-border merchants and factories the opportunity to ship goods. Everyone is working hard to produce, take orders, and ship, on one hand quickly consuming the demand accumulated over the past period, and on the other hand preparing for the mid-year major promotion and the subsequent peak season.

In order to seize the 90-day tariff window period, domestic cross-border e-commerce platforms are also actively preparing.

Workers at Yiwu Jingwen Import and Export Co., Ltd. are rushing to complete new American orders, provided by merchants.

According to internal sources from AliExpress, on the day the US tariff adjustment officially took effect on May 14, AliExpress had already urgently launched an American special session. Data shows that on the first day of the American special session mega sale, order volumes in various industries began to significantly soar, with year-over-year growth reaching double digits, and the month-over-month growth exceeding triple digits. Currently, AliExpress is actively preparing for the June mega sale targeting the US market, which can be described as the "foreign trade 618."

It is reported that this mega sale not only enables Chinese foreign trade merchants to enjoy the great overseas traffic support from Alibaba to better handle US orders, but the greater benefit is that there is no threshold set for this mega sale, and all merchants can sign up to participate. Overall, this June mega sale further strengthens the "American special session," and it is expected to further boost the growth rate of US orders and traffic, forming a new foreign trade peak season in mid-year.
