Trump took excessive amounts of aspirin, not following the doctor's advice!

325 milligrams a day, three times the normal dose prescribed by the doctor.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal on January 1st, Trump admitted that his aspirin intake exceeded the prescribed amount.

At 79 years old, Trump said, "I want thin, healthy blood to flow through my heart."

Trump added, "This does cause bruises."

This interview seemed to be one of the most detailed conversations Trump has had with journalists about his personal health.

With increasing scrutiny this year regarding his age, ability to perform duties, and transparency of medical information, the long-standing bruising on Trump's right hand has drawn more attention.

Dr. Sean Conley, Trump's physician, told The Wall Street Journal that the president takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily.

According to the Mayo Clinic, low-dose aspirin used "to help prevent heart attacks or strokes" is typically between 75 to 100 milligrams, with a commonly recommended dose of 81 milligrams.

Doctors say that aspirin thins the blood and prevents blood clots, but it also increases the risk of abnormal bleeding.

In recent medical guidelines, the recommendation for daily aspirin use has been discontinued for most adults due to the risks outweighing the benefits,

some experts even advise patients over seventy years old to stop aspirin therapy completely.

Dr. Sean Conley said on Thursday that Trump's "health condition remains excellent."

"Overall, the president maintains an exceptionally good state of health, fully capable of fulfilling the physical requirements of being Commander-in-Chief."
