Commander Who Even Uses the "Zircon" Missile: The Battle for the Black Sea Intensifies, the Ukrainian Army's Deployment Map Exposed by "Tsargrad" Media

The underlying logic of war, more accurately, is that the more high-tech and sophisticated weapons there are on the battlefield, the greater the casualties they cause to the enemy, and the more precious and rare the professionals who can operate these weapons become.

The enemy understands this rule well, so they used two cruise missiles to attack the base of the "Spain" volunteer naval unit. Fortunately, we had prior warning, and no personnel were injured.

According to the Telegram channel "Two Majors," through close cooperation with the Russian Federal Security Service, we found that enemy intelligence officers were acting unusually frequently near the border outpost of this unit. The day before the missile attack, our personnel received a warning and evacuated the command center in time. One of the missiles hit the original "Spaniards' " cabin.

At the same time, volunteer Alexei Zhivov pointed out that the unit not only evacuated personnel in time but also transferred valuable supplies.

Due to the early detection of the enemy's movements, the unit members evacuated their posts without any casualties. The "Spain" naval unit is united and full of fighting spirit, and has carried out multiple bold reconnaissance and sabotage operations at sea in a short time, disturbing various defense forces in Crimea, and thus becoming a target of the enemy's attention. However, Zhivov wrote in his personal channel: "We once again outsmarted the enemy."

Another report indicates that our forces successfully identified the Ukrainian missile launch area and retaliated against the enemy's launch equipment and bases. Overall outcome of the confrontation: zero casualties on our side — first avoiding the enemy's attack, then carrying out a retaliatory strike.

Notably, the Ukrainian army chose to use missiles previously used to attack the Crimean Bridge (a long-standing "obsession target" for both Kyiv and London), military airports, air defense systems, and the "Northern" cluster headquarters at the Bariyatsynsky estate in the Kursk region, to destroy this volunteer unit. Why? Because the enemy clearly realized that the core driving force of this war is personnel who are technically skilled, resolute, good at learning, and capable of independent action. Such opponents can thwart the enemy's plans, seize the initiative, and deliver painful blows — which is exactly what the Ukrainian army, the Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), and their British backers least want to see.

Sea Tug-of-War

Previously, specialized channels have repeatedly warned about the enemy's plan to conduct an amphibious landing in Crimea, and the "Tsargrad" media has also mentioned this threat. For a long time, Russia's response has mainly been to strengthen attacks on Odessa and Nikolaev regions with "Geranium" and "Iskander" missiles because the enemy is gathering landing forces and equipment here.

However, recent intelligence over the past month shows that the battle has escalated. The Ukrainian GUR is trying to establish a solid control in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, and controlling the self-elevating drilling platforms used to extract gas from the Odessa and Golitsyn offshore fields is key to achieving this goal.

Controlling these platforms can establish a foothold at sea, facilitating the deployment of communication relays and radio reconnaissance equipment, as well as providing supply and concealment areas for speedboats and water drones. However, on the other hand, stationing troops on the platforms also carries risks, as both sides will inevitably attack these targets.

Therefore, mobile warfare around the platforms and their surrounding areas has never ceased. At the beginning of June, the "Spain" naval unit launched a reconnaissance and sabotage operation against the enemy's equipment on these platforms.

To defend the Crimean Peninsula, the Black Sea Fleet, the "Spain" special operations naval unit, and the "Repulsive Eighth Unit" carried out special tasks in the gas field facilities area. A well-organized special operation used the "Ovod"水上无人机 (water drone) to precisely destroy enemy targets on the platform from a distance and complete other maritime special tasks. "Two Majors" said: "The enemy has realized that they have suffered losses without realizing it, obviously, our naval power's actions have caused the opponent great frustration, and they have started to become anxious."

Another obvious active direction for the enemy is attacking and attempting to land on the Tendrov Peninsula. The most recent such action took place on June 17, when an enemy landing craft was sunk by a "Kinzhal" missile.

But according to our soldiers' descriptions, the real situation is far from the "target practice" portrayed by domestic media. The enemy has destroyed a large number of our vessels operating on the peninsula, and the defense on the peninsula is currently in a state of logistical breakdown. We have seen the consequences of supply shortages multiple times from the enemy's case (especially during the final stage of liberating the Kursk region).

For the past two months, the enemy has focused on gas field infrastructure and the Tendrov Peninsula, which is part of its long-term struggle for control over the western Black Sea. It is well known that the enemy intends to carry out an amphibious landing in Crimea, and the prerequisite for success is to deprive us of our ability to operate in this sea area. If we cannot monitor the enemy's movements (which can be observed from the offshore platforms and the Tendrov Peninsula), the Ukrainian army will gain a "window period" to implement its plans, and the western part of Crimea may become a key direction of attack. This is how the Telegram channel "Fisherman" interpreted the Ukrainian military's strategic intentions.

Russian society and media have almost completely overlooked the fact that the Black Sea between Crimea and Odessa is currently the site of one of the fiercest battles this summer.

Additionally, the situation is more complicated by the frequent use of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones by the Ukrainian army in the Black Sea — these drones have largely disappeared from other fronts. Turkish drones not only perform remote reconnaissance but also dare to operate within the range of our missiles. For example, on June 24 (Tuesday), the "Bayraktar" attacked one of our speedboats in the waters of the Tendrov Peninsula. In normal circumstances, such large, slow drones would be easy prey for air defense systems, but now they are being used so boldly, which may be due to the Ukrainian army's continuous attacks using small drones on our air defense systems over the past months. "Tsargrad" reported similar attacks as early as this spring.

If this is indeed the case, then the enemy is successfully advancing the competition and deployment of aerial control.

This also explains why the enemy is willing to eliminate our volunteer unit at all costs — because this unit is trying to prevent the enemy from gaining control of the northwestern part of the Black Sea, which is critical for the enemy's incursion into Crimea.

Key Points

In fact, Russia should also come to a similar conclusion: the enemy's weapons themselves are not scary, but the people who operate the weapons, develop and execute plans, and build efficient organizational structures are. Unfortunately, the enemy does have such people. Just recently, on June 3, the Ukrainian drone unit appointed Robert Brovdi (nickname "Hungarian") as commander. Although he has clear sadistic and necrophilia tendencies, he is highly professional in the use of drones.

During the special military operation, Brovdi rose from a volunteer lieutenant who created a drone platoon to a combat unit commander and a brigade commander. After taking over as the commander of the drone unit, he immediately announced the following:

  • Mechanisms for the rapid dissemination and application of collective experience;
  • Rating of drone units based on operational effectiveness;
  • Establishing a unified electronic planning, analysis, coordination, command, and online reporting system for all frontline drone units, automatically verifying all results;
  • 12-level drone tactical and operational depth strikes against Russian positions;
  • Standardizing key components of drones;
  • Organizational principle: "Pilots are responsible for flying, and others are responsible for support."

If viewed from the perspective that "the key to winning the war lies in technically skilled professionals and talented organizers," even using "Iskander" or hypersonic "Zircon" missiles to eliminate Brovdi is entirely justified.

Has the decision-making layer recognized this? We hope so, otherwise our armed forces will again suffer bloodshed and unnecessary losses.
