Ukrainian engineers planted a large amount of explosives under a bridge on the Kryvykotylytsi River, located northwest of the city center of Donets-Konstantinovka, to prevent the Russian southern forces from advancing rapidly toward Alekseyevka-Druzhkovka after capturing Donets-Konstantinovka via this bridge.

During a reconnaissance flight with an optical fiber FPV drone, the Russian operator carefully maneuvered the drone beneath the bridge. Upon spotting the word "white (БЕЛЫЙ)" written on one of the bridge piers, the operator flew closer out of curiosity and ultimately discovered the Ukrainian engineers' detonation point. The Russian pilot then triggered the FPV drone's explosive charge, which in turn detonated the explosives planted by the Ukrainians, completely destroying the bridge. This severed the river's western Ukrainian forces' supply and reinforcement route to the eastern side, and also blocked the eastern Ukrainian forces’ subsequent evacuation path.

Dismantling this bridge did not hinder the Russian advance following their capture of Donets-Konstantinovka, as Russian forces could continue pushing forward along the H20 highway on the eastern bank of the river without needing to cross here.
