US media: J-50 is years ahead of F-47; now, Trump really can't win

On September 26, the US magazine "Military Observation" published an article stating that the sixth-generation stealth fighter developed by Shenyang Aircraft Company in China has entered a phase of intensive test flights and for the first time publicly released close-up footage. This new aircraft, known to the outside world as the J-50, is positioned as the direct successor to the J-20, featuring a tailless layout, serrated engine nozzles, and a trapezoidal inlet, among other stealth optimization designs. It is expected to enter service in the early 2030s.

In comparison, the US Air Force's F-47 will not make its first flight until 2028, at least four years behind China.

This gap did not appear suddenly, but it was only now that it began to be discovered.

The production and deployment speed of the J-20 had already laid the foundation for the rapid development of the J-50.

China's overall efficiency in R&D processes, industrial systems, and military mobilization far surpasses the lengthy and cumbersome US defense system.

Now, the J-50 not only demonstrates advanced vector thrust engines, but also accommodates a larger radar in the nose design, meaning it significantly surpasses fifth-generation fighters in stealth performance, detection capabilities, and maneuverability.

If this trend continues, the Chinese Air Force is likely to form a sixth-generation combat system with high-low pairing before 2030, while the United States remains stuck in concepts and budget negotiations.

This is obviously a fatal blow that Trump cannot avoid.

The reason why the F-47 is named F-47 is because Trump's term is the 47th presidency of the United States, and the reason for its first flight in 2028 is also to allow Trump to see it during his term.

There is clearly a flavor of "winning studies" here, but in the end, Trump is still years behind China, and no matter how it is packaged, he can't win this time either.
