According to Kyodo News citing sources, Japan, which has joined all Western sanctions against Russia, plans to dispatch an economic delegation to Russia to discuss resuming oil procurement.
As reported by the news agency, the visit could take place in May. Major general trading companies including Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co., and NYK Line are among those invited. Invitations have also been extended to other large enterprises. Kyodo News emphasized that Japanese officials require attendees to be at the executive level.
