"The relevant report is full of Cold War thinking, stoking great power confrontation, and hyping up so-called 'China threat'. In fact, it is aimed at containing and suppressing China. The Chinese side firmly opposes this," said Lin Jian.

Lin Jian emphasized that China adheres to an independent and peaceful foreign policy, always striving to be a positive, stable, and upward force. It has no intention or will to compete with any country in terms of influence. China always views and handles Sino-U.S. relations according to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. It never engages in vicious competition or great power confrontation, and has no intention of replacing or challenging anyone.

Lin Jian said that the Chinese side urges relevant U.S. individuals to establish a correct understanding of China, objectively and rationally view China and Sino-U.S. relations, stop attacking, slandering, and suppressing China, and do more things that are beneficial to the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of Sino-U.S. relations.
