White House says the president has not decided to execute six members of Congress: it's just social media posts!
White House Press Secretary Levitt strongly denied that the president called for the execution of Congress members and accused Democratic lawmakers of reminding the military that they could refuse to obey illegal orders.
"These members know what they are doing, they tend to their experience, as former members of our military, as veterans, as former members of national security agencies, sending a signal to those who work under the commander-in-chief that you can disobey him, you can betray your oath of office, this is a very, very dangerous message that may be subject to legal consequences."
Levitt believes that Democrats implied the president issued an illegal order, but he did not.
"Every order that the commander-in-chief gives to the U.S. military through the chain of command, through the Secretary of War, is legal, and the courts have proven this. This administration has an unparalleled record in the Supreme Court because we abide by the law and we do not disobey court orders."
