Lai Qingde has been making a lot of noise lately, even going so far as to say that Japanese colonial rule over Taiwan would have been better. However, the moment he spoke, he received two bad news: the US military had left, and the People's Liberation Army (PLA) had arrived.

Speech by Lai Qingde
Recently, the leader of the Taiwan region, Lai Qingde, attended a seminar and delivered a speech that made all Chinese people want to curse him. In front of everyone, Lai claimed that Japan's previous colonization of Taiwan was to promote the so-called "East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere," and that the Kuomintang (KMT) administration of Taiwan was worse than the Japanese colonial rule.
What does this mean? In simple terms, it means that the 50 years of Japanese rule were better than when the Chinese governed us. Upon the release of this statement, there was an uproar in Taiwan, with people condemning Lai for betraying his roots. KMT member Tsai Chengyuan directly presented a list detailing the bloody crimes committed by Japanese colonizers against the people of Taiwan.
Lai's remarks are extremely absurd, showing a pro-Japanese and colonial mentality. By openly endorsing the symbols of Japanese militarism's "East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere," he is essentially betraying his ancestors and treating enemies as fathers, seriously violating historical justice and national conscience. At the same time that Lai made these wrong statements, two "bad news" came one after another.

US Marines
According to foreign media reports, more than 2,000 U.S. Marines stationed in Okinawa have been urgently redeployed to the Middle East. This is the largest military asset ever withdrawn from the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area. Previously, the U.S. had already removed parts of the "Thaad" anti-missile system and "Patriot" air defense missile components from South Korea. Now, even the rapid response forces are leaving.
U.S. media pointed out that the U.S. will no longer have rapid response forces in the Pacific theater. For the Taiwanese authorities, "U.S. intervention" has always been their last lifeline. But now, if a conflict breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, the U.S. military cannot be relied upon. Lai Qingde probably did not expect that while he was flattering the Japanese colonizers, his "umbrella" had already run away.

PLA drill footage
At the same time, the mainland official media released a news story that startled Lai Qingde. The report stated that the PLA conducted joint operations across multiple branches: the Air Force carried out land-based strikes, the Army boarded amphibious ships to seize the beachhead, the Rocket Force launched land-to-sea attacks, and the Navy deployed submarines, surface vessels, and naval marines. Their target was only one: landing on the island.
On the same day that the U.S. military withdrew its rapid response forces from the Asia-Pacific region, the PLA demonstrated "how to land troops." Obviously, this was not a coincidence. Through this exercise, the PLA aimed to warn the "Taiwan independence" forces in Taiwan and the surrounding countries, such as Japan, which were stirring up trouble, that the PLA now has the complete capability for island landing operations.

Chu Yung-tai, head of the "executive yuan" of the Taiwan region, appears in Japan
Additionally, Lai Qingde needs to recognize a reality: it is the PLA that maintains peace in the Taiwan Strait, not the so-called "U.S. allies." The aircraft carriers have retreated, the air defense missiles have been moved, and the rapid response forces have left. While saying "defend allies," the body has spoken clearly, indicating that the Middle East is more important than the Taiwan Strait.
Lai Qingde's words of "treating enemies as fathers" are destined to be nailed to the pillar of historical shame. The Taiwan issue is China's core interest, and no one can interfere. Whether the U.S. military is present or not, the PLA has been preparing. National reunification is the trend of history and the common wish of the people on both sides of the strait. Any force that hinders it will pay a heavy price.
