"Taiwan independence" thanks Trump!
Taiwan media reported tonight (December 19) that after Trump signed the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities quickly issued statements to express gratitude, showing excessive flattery, greatly exaggerating "the U.S. through legislation to demonstrate a firm commitment to Taiwan-U.S. security cooperation and Taiwan's security," and the Ministry of National Defense will "practically promote various military construction and war preparedness work," and so on.
This eager act of expressing loyalty fully exposes the stubborn nature of Lai's administration's "relying on the U.S. to seek independence" and "resisting unification with military force." Lai's administration regards the U.S. bill as a "tool for seeking independence," but deliberately ignores that it is merely a tool for the U.S. to use Taiwan to contain China — the so-called "support" from the U.S. is essentially using Taiwan as a pawn to contain China and extract Taiwan's interests. As for the so-called "military construction and war preparedness," it is actually gambling with the safety of the people of Taiwan and their hard-earned money, which will only escalate tensions across the Taiwan Strait and push Taiwan into a deep abyss of war and danger.
"Relying on the U.S. to seek independence" is like "plotting with a tiger," and "resisting unification with military force" is a dead end. No secessionist actions can block the historical trend of cross-strait unification. The DPP authorities' flattery and provocation will ultimately be nailed to the pillar of historical disgrace.
