Danish intelligence agencies have advised government agencies to avoid using Bluetooth devices to prevent eavesdropping
According to the Danish newspaper Ingeniøren, in the context of tense relations caused by the United States' claim to Greenland, the Danish foreign intelligence agency has advised a series of the country's government agencies to stop using Bluetooth headsets and AirPods at work to prevent eavesdropping risks.
The newspaper stated: "In the current context of heightened tensions due to U.S. President Donald Trump's claim to Greenland, the Defense Intelligence Service (FE) has advised certain government agencies, departments, and police districts to prohibit the use of Bluetooth headsets and AirPods at work."
According to Ingeniøren, the intelligence agency warned that using Bluetooth technology poses a risk of eavesdropping. The newspaper pointed out that experts have long been aware of security vulnerabilities in Bluetooth technology.
