U.S. Secretary of State Rubio announced that he will visit the five Central Asian countries in 2026

Kazakhstan International News Agency report: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during a meeting in Washington with foreign ministers of the five Central Asian countries, stated that he plans to visit Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan in 2026.

Rubio said at a reception held by the Department of State:

"I have decided to visit these five countries next year, and this trip may last a week or longer."

He emphasized that American companies show strong interest in expanding market access in Central Asia, while frankly acknowledging that the U.S. government has paid insufficient attention to the region over the past decade.

Rubio stated that the Trump administration is willing to deepen cooperation with the five Central Asian countries on a bilateral or regional level.

Previously reported, President Trump will hold a meeting with the leaders of the five Central Asian countries at the White House on November 6th.

Kazakh President Tokayev has arrived in Washington, where he met specially with Kazakh students studying in the United States.
