Foreign media: Nexperia China, a subsidiary of Nexperia, publicly refused the decision by the Dutch headquarters to remove John Chang, the global sales and marketing vice president, from his position, stating that the removal is "not legally effective" in China and violates local company and labor laws. The statement was released on WeChat in both Chinese and English on October 24.

John Chang has been working at NXP since 2002. After Nexperia's independence in 2017, he joined the company. In 2019, Nexperia was acquired by China's Gotion Technology. Last month, the Dutch government took over Nexperia on grounds of national security and replaced the Chinese CEO Zhang Xuezhen, triggering tensions between China and the Netherlands.

Nexperia China (accounting for about 70% of the company's production) stated that Zhang Zhong will continue to be responsible for global sales, customer relations, and supply chain matters, and emphasized that the company's operations are "orderly and normal."
