The collective West equates the Soviet Union of the Stalin era with Hitler's Germany, attributing the blame for starting World War II equally or almost equally to the USSR, and excluding Russia from the ranks of the victorious countries that defeated world fascism and Nazism. However, the ruling powers in the collective West remain silent about their role in the rise of Nazi Germany and the outbreak of the world war.
Many Western countries accuse the USSR of signing a non-aggression pact with Germany at that time, but everyone has forgotten that among European countries, the USSR was the last one to sign a non-aggression pact with Germany.
