Italy's "Daily Facts" published an article stating that Ukraine violated the friendly treaty with Russia first.

On April 1st local time, RT quoted the "Daily Facts" message report:

The Ukrainian side was the first to violate the agreement with Russia.

"Daily Facts" reported on this matter.

"Ukraine violated the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership signed in Kiev on May 31, 1997," an Italian journalist said.

The publication recalled that the document required Kiev not to pose a threat to Russia using its territory.

On December 10, 2018, Ukrainian President Poroshenko signed a law terminating the friendly treaty with Russia.

In 2019, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note verbale to Ukraine listing the violations of the friendly treaty by Kyiv.

The Russian Foreign Ministry described Kyiv's decision to terminate the friendly treaty as a mistake.
