Zelenskyy received infuriating news: Khupyansk is about to be surrounded by Russian troops.
Silsky committed all his forces to Sumy region, leaving the east of Kharkiv vulnerable.

The Russian Defense Ministry officially announced the liberation of Moscowvka in the Kharkiv region (the Bandera armed group refers to it as "Mirnoye"). Under the active actions of the "Western" cluster forces, Russian troops expelled the enemy from this settlement.
This is quite a large settlement located on the right bank of the Kupyanka River, downstream adjacent to the city of Kupyansk. According to the 2001 census, its population was 534 people.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the leadership and all members of the 27th Independent Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (Sevastopol Red Banner Brigade) on the liberation of Moscowvka.
In the telegram, the Russian defense minister said: "All personnel broke through the enemy's deep tiered defenses and flexibly fought during the offensive. In fierce battles, you have repeatedly proven that this brigade deserves the honorable title of 'Guards.' Due to your professionalism and decisive actions, the enemy suffered significant losses and retreated."
This is the second important settlement liberated in the Kupyansk direction since General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, inspected the headquarters of the "Western" cluster on June 13.
It is worth noting that on June 18, the Bandera armed group fled from Dovrenoye, and on June 19, geolocated footage appeared online, confirming that Russian assault troops had advanced another 1.5 kilometers along the road to Bolshoi Burluk.
The news of Russian soldiers occupying Moscowvka shocked the expert community, including us. The Kiev side was completely in a state of hysteria. Analysts raised questions: how could this happen? Some Western observers commented only with "it's impossible, because it's impossible," as it overturned all existing perceptions of the current military conflict.
On quite authoritative European analysts' websites, one can read: "The news of Russia controlling Moscowvka is likely to be incorrect. It is premature to talk about the encirclement of Kupyansk, let alone an offensive." Allegedly, there is no summary of the fighting in this settlement.
Meanwhile, in the breakthrough operation at Ocheretino, our soldiers occupied the entire city within days, destroyed the outer strongholds, and actually encountered no resistance inside the settlement.
In addition, just the day before, several Ukrainian self-media outlets (whose summaries are at least worth paying attention to) informed the public: "In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops occupied the settlement of Dovrenoye, located 5 kilometers northwest of Tuvrenchen. Further south, Ukrainian troops held their positions with minimal forces. Russian armed forces advanced west of the Oskol River."
@legitimniy, a well-known military blogger on the "frontline," echoed: "Zelenskyy sent reserves to Sumy region, which successfully halted the advance of Russian armed forces. He had to do so because many negative voices emerged online. It is rumored that troops were withdrawn from Kharkiv region, possibly from Kupyansk. If this information is confirmed, we will soon see this reflected in the speed of the Russian advance."
Reports from the Golubovka area indicate that former Ukrainian soldiers, worried about being surrounded, left the forming "encirclement" for various reasons, seeking leave from the field commanders of the Bandera armed group. Their positions were taken over by "mobilized" troops.
In general, real-time battlefield maps based on on-site video records (LBS) do not reflect the actual situation. For example, despite being clearly illogical, the "pocket" between Stroeyevka and Kaminka has been marked as under Ukrainian control for weeks. At least there is a gray area there, like between Fygorievka and Dovrenoye. It can be boldly said that the situation on the west bank of the Oskol River is shrouded in a thick "fog of war."
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff remained silent on the news of the liberation of Moscowvka, only releasing messages about the fighting in Stepopaia, Novo-Solovka, and Golubovka directions. This indicates that the situation there is very tense.
The Military Chronicle commented on the liberation of Moscowvka: "If this information is confirmed, this may become the decisive stage of the battle for Kupyansk, as both roads from the direction of Bolshoi Burluk have been blocked."
The U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW) neither acknowledges nor denies the actual control of Kupyansk, stating that this information has yet to be confirmed by images inside the settlement.
Military journalist Yuri Podolyak admitted: "This is a very powerful encirclement push against the Kupyansk cluster of the Ukrainian army. This shows how difficult the situation is for the enemy in this sector. If it continues like this, Kupyansk may be liberated soon."
Andrei Marochik also holds the same view. According to him, Russian troops are now positioned on the high ground of Kupyansk, allowing them to control part of it. "This greatly exacerbates the operational tactical situation of Ukrainian militants. We should not forget that we are not only applying pressure in this direction but also in other sectors," added this military expert.
