Venezuelan United Socialist Party (ruling party) condemned the "cowardly military invasion" by the United States against South American countries this Saturday, which ended with the kidnapping and forced removal of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, and therefore called for an "immediate mobilization."
"Faced with such a serious violation of our sovereignty, the United Socialist Party calls on all its members to immediately mobilize under the command of the party's highest leadership, we are ready at any time to defend the country against any form of external attack," said the socialist party in a statement posted on social media.
The political faction also "immediately" demanded the Trump administration provide "proof of life" for the Venezuelan president and his wife.
"We are the party founded by Commander Hugo Chavez Frias, the political and moral vanguard of the Bolivarian Revolution. Therefore, we are more closely aligned than ever with the Bolivarian government, expressing our absolute loyalty to President Nicolas Maduro," the United Socialist Party added.
Similarly, the party called on governments and the international community to "completely condemn" the U.S. "absurd" military action, as it "violates the UN Charter and violates international law."

"Let the anger of the international community rise firmly against the imperialist war escalation threatening the peace of the entire Latin America and Caribbean region - a war that has taken the lives of martyred soldiers and innocent civilians!" they emphasized. "The people took to the streets, achieving a perfect fusion of the people, the army, and the police," the official statement added.
President Maduro was Kidnapped
Trump announced early Saturday that his country had "successfully carried out a large-scale attack on Venezuela" and detained the country's leader, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife Cilia Flores.
"He has been captured and transferred overseas," the US leader wrote on social platforms.
Donald Trump praised the operation to capture the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro as "excellent," while Maduro's deputy requested evidence that the leader is still alive.
At 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Trump said, "A lot of careful planning went into this, with a lot of excellent, great forces and personnel involved."
"It was actually an excellent operation." When asked whether he had consulted Congress before authorizing the strike, Trump said, "We will discuss this issue."
He then told the newspaper that he would provide more details at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
At 2 a.m. local time on Saturday, during the strike operation on the capital of the South American country, Caracas, Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were taken away by helicopter.
Explosions echoed throughout the city, and flames rose into the sky.
Venezuela's Vice President Delcy Rodriguez requested "proof of vital signs," suggesting she was worried that Maduro and Flores might have been killed during the operation.
Senator Mike Lee from Utah said that the air strike that occurred in Caracas around the same time was intended to support the U.S. operation to execute the arrest warrant for Maduro.
Trump planned to transport Maduro to the United States to face trial on charges of "drug terrorism."
