On the morning of July 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense's news website released a battlefield briefing as of 24:00 on the 28th:

The Russian Army's 6th and 123rd Brigades advanced towards the Ukrainian key town of Seversk. (Note: The areas east and south of the village of Sereblyanka have been designated as gray zones, pending further confirmation.)

In the Seversk direction, after several months of fighting, the Russian forces made significant progress. The Ukrainian forces were pushed back to the northwest of the Ugholek tourist base.

Additionally, the Russian forces made large-scale attempts to attack the eastern suburbs of Seversk city. The Ukrainian forces discovered the movements in the rear and began attacking the Russian equipment. The Russian front command decided to halt the offensive to protect personnel and equipment.

In the Sumy region front, the Russian forces expanded their controlled area around the village of Myropillya.

Kharkiv region front:

① Over the past three days, the Russian forces entered the village of Moskovka and expanded their operations towards the village of Kovalivka.
